Any migraine solutions, tips, or tricks?

The correct answer is “lie down in a dark room and sleep it off”, but I can’t. I’m at the computer for the next hour and a half, then travelling. Advil? Massage? Coffee? Hopping on one foot?

Nevermind, no longer excited.

A migraine has appeared on the scene, and I postulate that the only thing worse than the office (fluorescent lighting, noise) with a migraine would (will) be Dulles with a migraine. Or, more likely, public transportation on the way to Dulles with a migraine.

I’ll test these hypotheses in two and a half hours.

I am dying. Dying. Dyyyyying.

I just want to be on the fucking 5A to Dulles, knowing that I have rush hour traffic to contend with, ready to enter the hellmouth that is IAD and maybe grab some Five Guys on my way to the gate.

I got a Southwest boarding pass in the A group (because I’m a champion), my luggage next to me, and about 8 un-listened-to This American Lifes (or would it be “lives”? Oh man) on my ipod.

But I will be working for the next five hours.

I am going to explode with waitingness.

CHICAGO!!!! SOON!!!! But not soon enough.

“The foggy mystery of Palin’s popularity burns off sometimes; sometimes I am able to see in bright light why she is beloved. She is beloved because she is willing to tell Americans that just because they are ignorant does not mean they are wrong.” — In case you missed it, Rudolph Delson did an utterly amazing job at live-reading Sarah Palin’s Going Rogue this weekend. Check it out. (via alexbalk)

We don’t know shit about them, and they have the scariest name ever. How do you like them apples.

Typo In Proposition 8 Defines Marriage As Between 'One Man And One Wolfman' -

“I love James just as much as a wolfman loves his husband,” Millard said. “We deserve the same rights as any horrifying mythical abomination.” On the heels of the historic typo, voters in Utah passed a similar referendum a week later, defining marriage as between one man and 23 wolfmen.

Texas' gay marriage ban may have banned all marriages -

[A lawyer] calls it a “massive mistake” and blames the current attorney general, Republican Greg Abbott, for allowing the language to become part of the Texas Constitution. Radnofsky called on Abbott to acknowledge the wording as an error and consider an apology. She also said that another constitutional amendment may be necessary to reverse the problem.

Peter Travers Reviews New Moon -

I can’t comment on the acting because I didn’t catch Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner doing any. They basically primp and pose through the same humdrum motions they did before.

Late in the film, a real actor, Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon), shows up as the mind-reading Aro, of the Italian Volturi vampires, and sparks things up. You can almost hear the young cast thinking, “Is that acting? It looks hard.” So Sheen is quickly ushered out, and New Moon begins swanning toward certain box-office glory.

“Same sex marriage should not be put on the ballot for a vote. Just like abortion should not be on the ballot for a vote. Just like protections for trans people should not be on the ballot for a vote. Because the majority is going to vote to protect its interests, for the most part, and that means that these measures are going to fail. And once a vote has gone through, it’s going to be harder to repeal, because of this whole “will of the people” argument that will get hauled out to defend inequality.” — We’re Doing This Wrong [via] (via anthropophagous)
